Melissa began her career as an RMT in 2000. Starting out in a small space at a local community centre, she opened the first clinic once she realized she could not accommodate the demand. After 17 years of continued growth and success, and opening a second location in Almonte in 2011, she decided to retire her licence and focus on assisting other talented massage therapists build their practices. In August 2018, with the business thriving under the “Absolute Massage” brand for so many years, she decided it was time for a total overhaul of the look and name and alas….the relax massage group was born. The relax. brand, with the underline under the “a” honours the legacy that the absolute name has carried for so many years. The new business name also brought a new clinic in September 2018, relax. Greenbank on Greenbank Rd at Hunt Club, which she co-0wns with Brigit Laberge. Melissa expanded to 5 clinics with the purchase of Body Poets Massage Therapy located at 504 Kent Street, Ottawa at the end of 2018 and opening a boutique clinic relax. Westin, in the Westin Hotel, downtown Ottawa. When not at one of the relax. clinics Melissa can be found doing one of the many sporting activities she loves to do to stay fit or spending time with her family.

Brigit currently co-owns & manages the relax. Greenbank location and is a full-time RMT. Book with Brigit here. Brigit began her career as an RMT at the relax. Kanata location (formerly Absolute Massage Therapy), working for Melissa Webb. Melissa and Brigit partnered in 2018 to create relax. Greenbank, located at 250 Greenbank Road, in Nepean. Brigit thrives in a busy environment and loves to build relationships, striving to embody the family environment created at relax. Outside of the clinic, when she’s not working, Brigit is happiest when spending time with her family and being outdoors.
Kelly McNamara

High flying trapeze artist, Hollywood Stunt double to the stars, and alligator wrangler. (Ok…well, not quite)… but as the relax. team’s Finance Guru Extraordinaire, Kelly McNamara is so much more, spending her time juggling numbers with precision. With an Honours Degree in Commerce, Kelly has been diligently working towards her CPA designation with future ambitions to contribute to the growth of the relax. team. In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, spending time with her children and binge-watching Netflix. She’s a gifted ball thrower, treat giver, and plays a mean tug of war (her Beagle Charlie would say these are her best traits). She may just hold the secrets to the universe (more likely not)…but she loves being apart of the relax. Team!
